96+ Jeb Dunnuck
The first release for this cuvée made from two separate blocks of the estate vineyard, the 2016 Proprietary Red Blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, but the cuvée will move more toward a Bordeaux blend as more fruit becomes available. Full-bodied, structured, and backward, with plenty of black fruits and herbal notes, it has a big mid-palate, no shortage of tannins, and a great finish. It needs 3-4 years of bottle age, but it’s another brilliant wine from this estate and winemaker Philippe Melka
