A fresh, floral red with currant and dried-mushroom aromas that follow to a full body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs another year or two to come around. Try after 2021.
Dark purple-black at the core going out to ruby-violet at the rim. The nose shows a deep center of black currant, blackberry, and bay leaf. Raw chocolate, organic potting soil, and violets round out the periphery, with tones of Madagascar vanilla and brand new leather. Rich and full on the palate, it’s got ripe, supple tannins that are beautifully counterbalanced by warm dense fruit. Full and structured, yet soft and polished on the finish, this wine has a lot to offer, and a long life ahead of it. Drink 2021 - 2035.
