Josh Phelps grew up in a prominent winemaking family. His father Chris Phelps was the founding winemaker at Dominus in Yountville and he also worked at Caymus and other notable wineries. Josh co-founded TAKEN wine in 2010 with 100 cases of Cabernet and the brand was inspired to introduce a new generation to high quality wines. It was rapidly successful and in 2017 Josh sold his interest in Taken Wine Co. to Trinchero Family Estates.
