The house flagship wine is the finest expression of the Capalbio terroir; this cuvée of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot combines the best locations of our winery. Uncompromising quality control begins in the vineyard with patient care of the vines, rigorous selection during the harvest, and meticulous attention to the terroir during cuveéing. Careful work in the cellar enhances Nature’s gifts. Production quantities are naturally limited; Monteverro’s velvety texture, distinctive complexity, and striking, multi-faceted bouquet are the result of each individual phase of the production process.
The 2017 harvest gave birth to a large and full of perfumes Monteverro, so much so that it seems to open the doors of a Mediterranean garden rocked by the sea breeze.

2017 Vintage Tasted: May 2021
Sartoriale nel profilo principale regala note di petali di rosa, gerani, fiori di limone, agapanto e magnolia. In sottofondo le note di rosmarino e timo selvatico descrivono l'anima secondaria. Corpo pieno, tannini perfettamente levigati che tradiscono una mordenza ed una grinta davvero piacevoli ed un finale teso di lodevole bellezza. Meglio dal 2024.
2017 Vintage Tasted: Aug 2020
Undurchdringliches Rubinviolett. Dichte und intensive Nase mit Noten nach Brombeere, Zwetschken und Cassis, etwas Waldhonig im Hintergrund, mediterran-würzig. Am Gaumen viel dichtmaschiges, zupackendes Tannin, wirkt derzeit sehr verschlossen, satte Noten nach Tabak und Lakritze, im Finale viel Druck, braucht aber noch Zeit.
