One vineyard, one Cabernet, a 95-point 2018
Lowrey Vineyard South View is the Upper Range Vineyard project in this glass. One hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon. Twenty months in two-thirds new French oak. 15.9 percent alcohol. Jeb Dunnuck 95 found herbal, meaty, iron nuances, dark black fruit, full body, tannin and acidity, a fleshy Justice style that still has structure. Wine Enthusiast 93 found dark chocolate, tree bark, blue fruit, cedar, dried herb, and sage, a big-boned wine Virginie Boone wanted held until 2028. This is the bottle that argues a named St. Helena-side Cabernet can still be opened at two hundred sixty-one dollars.

Black fruit and iron, then chocolate, cedar, and sage
Dunnuck called it fleshy and hedonistic, still balanced, herbal and meaty with iron and dark black fruit. Boone found it soft and supple in dark chocolate and tree bark, rich blue fruit, grippy texture, cedar, dried herb, and sage, best 2028 through 2035. The house note is herbaceous and floral, vanilla, white peppercorn, pomegranate, then a juicy, dense palate with savory tannins like cranberry.
A classic Napa Cabernet year with tannin and acidity to match the fruit. Dunnuck said enjoy bottles over the coming two decades. Boone wanted more time. Either way, 90 minutes of air is the start.

A Justice name on a Lowrey vineyard
Bounty Hunter built the Justice Series as Napa Cabernet with Old West names. Poetic Justice is the vineyard bottle in that set.
Mark Pope's Bounty Hunter has bottled Justice wines from Napa vineyards since the mid-2000s. The names are the joke. The fruit is not.
