Winemaker Notes

"A blend of our finest Shiraz barrels from across the Barossa Valley region. This is a sumptuous wine, defined by its aromatic complexity and finesse. Predominately grown in the Red/Brown earth of the Barossa’s western ranges, the soil profile creates masculine tannins and richness through the palate. Lower yield limiting soils provide a large fruit concentration. This label’s colour reflects the red soils of the Barossa’s western ranges where all the best Two Hands vineyards are located."

Critical Acclaim

93 Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Hints of roasted meat and vanilla accent black cherries and blackberries on the nose of the 2018 Bella's Garden Shiraz. Medium to full-bodied, plush and creamy, yet with enough silky tannin on the finish to give it shape and sense of structure, this is a super introduction to what looks like a terrific Barossa vintage.

From the Barossa Valley, Two Hands Bella's Garden 2018 Shiraz is a rich and mouth-filling Syrah produced by Michael Twelftree. Dry, full-bodied and dense with dark berry, plum, dark cherry, savoury herbs, cracked pepper and cedar spice flavours long and luxurious on the palate. A portion of the grapes were whole bunch fermented with regular pumpovers over 16 days and the wine was matured for 17 months in French oak barrels (14% new). Drink or hold. A good cellaring candidate and excellent value.

Shiraz food pairings: marinated pepper steaks, burgers with blue cheese, grilled pork chops.

Wine Review: This opaque and medium purple colored Shiraz opens with a faint cola and blueberry bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, quite smooth, and silky. The flavor profile is a black currant and blackberry blend with notes of oak and anise. We also detected hints of peppermint tea and black pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Shiraz with Tuscan styled veal chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
