"Very interesting blend. Rhubarb, ripe plum and Kumamoto oyster shell on the nose, but all of these aromas are quite faint; plum and caoutchouc midrange, hints of raisins; the finish has good extension, and features earthy rather than fruity flavors...loam, damp pine needles, charcoal. I would happily seek this out again.."
It's hard to believe but this small production super inexpensive Napa Red Blend ranks among top 2% of all wines in the world!
This wine is 80 % Cabernet Sauvignon (Atlas Peak and Oakville), 15% Cabernet Franc (Atlas Peak), 5% Merlot (Oakville). Deep purple color. Fragrant aromas of cranberry cocktail, rich cherry and vanilla. Vibrant flavors of blackberry compote, sweetened dried cherry and cappuccino are complemented by notes of black currant and sandalwood. This Bordeaux style blend is framed well by moderate acidity and rich, mouth filling tannins that will soften with age.
