PerUs estate spotlight
Meet PerUs—the boutique Napa project built around friendship, family, exceptional vineyard sources, and Russell Bevan’s unmistakably powerful winemaking.

2020 PerUs “Pont”
Cult-level Napa sourcing and winemaking—revealed at $40.
Pont brings together Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench Vineyard on Oakville’s eastern benchlands—next to Screaming Eagle and Rudd—with Merlot and Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf Vineyard. Russell Bevan shapes the blend with linear power, energy and unmistakable Napa richness.
59.6% below supplied average
Three elite ingredients. One extraordinary price.
Pont’s case is unusually clean: a famous Oakville source, a cult Napa winemaker, and a tiny-production blend offered at a fraction of the supplied market reference.

Tench Vineyard belongs in rare company.
The Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon component comes from iron-rich eastern benchland soils beside Screaming Eagle and Rudd—one of Napa Valley’s most consequential neighborhoods.
Russell Bevan brings cult-wine firepower.
Bevan’s approach favors intensity, texture and energy. Pont carries that signature without asking the usual cult-Napa price.
The blend is built for dimension.
Forty percent Tench Cabernet Sauvignon supplies structure; Sugarloaf Merlot adds breadth; Sugarloaf Cabernet Franc contributes aromatic and savory lift.
The discount is real math, not mystery.
At $40 against the supplied $99 average reference, the offer is $59 lower per bottle—59.6% off, rounded to a rare 60% discount.
Six-Bottle Value Comparison
The comparison uses one unit throughout: six 750ml bottles.

Six bottles at ShopWineSlash total $240. Six bottles at the supplied $99 average reference total $594. That is a $354 six-bottle savings.

Russell Bevan’s signature: power with energy
Pont unites two distinctive Napa Valley sources in a Cabernet-led blend.
One of modern Napa’s defining cult-wine personalities, Bevan is known for opulent fruit, commanding texture and energetic structure.
The Oakville backbone: Forty percent Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench Vineyard supplies the blend’s core. The site’s iron-rich soils sit on Oakville’s eastern benchlands beside Screaming Eagle and Rudd.
The Sugarloaf counterpoint: Thirty-five percent Merlot builds richness and mid-palate breadth, while 25% Cabernet Franc adds perfume, freshness and savory detail.
The result: Pont is not a generic Napa blend. It is a deliberate conversation between Oakville authority and the cooler, rock-driven personality of Sugarloaf, interpreted through Bevan’s powerful style.
Wine built around people, place and memory
PerUs began with a belief that life is measured less by possessions than by friendship, family and the memories shared around a table.

Founder Anmol Bhandari gathered a select group around that idea, connecting the project with Master Sommelier Dustin Wilson and winemaker Russell Bevan. The first PerUs vintage in 2013 amounted to only 30 cases.
The project grew organically around prestigious vineyard sources, small production and personal experiences. Pont reflects that model: distinctive Napa Valley fruit, a clearly recognizable winemaking hand, and a blend designed to carry both power and personality.
At $40, the pleasure is not abstract. This is a wine for the steak dinner, the long conversation and the bottle opened with people who matter.
Grilled Ribeye with Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Rich beef, a deeply browned crust and buttery potatoes give Pont’s Cabernet-led structure exactly the weight and savory contrast it wants at the table.

Why the pairing works
- Structure meets richness: The wine’s Cabernet backbone cuts through the ribeye’s marbling and the potatoes’ creamy texture.
- Char meets complexity: A hard sear echoes Pont’s tobacco and bittersweet-chocolate notes without overwhelming its bright cherry fruit.
- Serve it right: Rest the steak well, keep the seasoning savory, and give Pont a generous decant before dinner.
Buy it for the pedigree. Open it for the pleasure.
Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Russell Bevan winemaking rarely meet a $40 price.
