Ripe pear and cinnamon, then peach, toast, and almond
The 2022 pours bright gold: ripe pear, cinnamon, baking spice, stone fruit, peaches, nectarines, toast, almond. Creamy mid-palate, bright acid, a long finish. A year more in bottle than the 2023, so the spice is already in the glass.

A California white year that gave Roberts Road pear, spice, and enough acid to stay lifted. This 2022 is open now.

Creamy mid-palate, bright acid, a touch of oak.

Sangiacomo wind, then a creamy California line
Roberts Road is a windswept Sangiacomo block at the base of Sonoma Mountain. Garrett Martin bottled the 2022 as a Gap Chardonnay with pear, spice, and a creamy mid-palate. Oak shows as toast and almond. Acid keeps it from turning heavy.

This is the 2022. The 2023 is the current vintage on a separate listing.
Serve near 50 F. Roast chicken or scallops.
Three generations of Sangiacomo, a Petaluma cellar
The Gap is why Buckler stayed in Petaluma. Roberts Road is why this white has a vineyard name.

Adobe Road is a Petaluma house with Napa and Sonoma fruit. Kevin and Debra Buckler opened it in 2002.
Sangiacomo has farmed Petaluma for three generations. Roberts Road sits at the base of Sonoma Mountain.
The 2022 is the scored white from that block. The 2023 is the current vintage next to it.
Roast chicken, then scallops
Ripe pear Chardonnay wants roast bird and browned butter on scallops. Cinnamon in the wine meets the skin. Acid cuts the cream.
Two plates. One roast chicken. One pan of scallops. Both can take 2022 Roberts Road Chardonnay.
Serve near 50 F. No long decant. A cold glass keeps pear and spice in front.
Roast Chicken
High-heat roast, lemon, thyme, garlic for pear and baking spice.
Why it works: Roast fat meets the creamy mid-palate. Lemon pulls bright acid through the glass.
